Weekly Newsletter

13 January 2024

Our church is committed to making all activities as open and accessible to all.

The beginning of a new year is always a strange time.  It comes hot on the heels of Christmas and we can often feel quite tired and lethargic.  If the year before hasn’t been a particularly good one, it can feel particularly daunting.  On a positive front the start of a New Year can bring hope.  What has gone before can be left behind and none of us know what the future holds.

I believe that God speaks to us and he wants to speak into our year ahead knowing that the year will bring good things and difficult things. A few weeks ago whilst praying with some people I sensed God give us a verse for the year.  Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for man, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.  It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Over the next few weeks we’ll look at this verse in more detail, but at the beginning of this year know that your life is in the hands of the greatest boss there could ever be.

Have a great week,
