Weekly Newsletter - 24.02.2024

Our church is committed to making all activities as open and accessible to all.

Back in the 90’s the rap duo Salt and Pepper came out with the famous lyric “Let’s talk about sex baby.”  Now that I’ve got your attention we’re not actually going to talk about sex, but we are going to continue our discussion on a less popular, but equally important subject, that of death.  The psalmist in Psalm 39 says 4 “ LORD, remind me how brief my time on earth will be.  Remind me that my days are numbered— how fleeting my life is.

Our lives are short.  We don’t like to think about it really is.  The psalmist goes on to say that our days are numbered.  Often we think about that negatively; when we say someone’s days are numbered we mean that their death is near. However, there is a real positive to this if we believe that there is an actual number to our days and God is in control of that so we can live free.  We know that eternal life lies beyond this one and that this life is short and death has been defeated.  He has counted the number of your days.  Let’s take the opportunity to make the days count.

Have a great week.
